Sal and I were in the mall just shopping, and we’re walking through this retail store and little old lady goes ‘NO! You’re not gonna get at me.’ We were just shopping. She was looking for cameras, she was like ‘I know who you are, you crazies!’ and she walked away from us. Joe Gatto
We’re not office-work types. Joe Gatto
With the show itself, we try to think of new and different ways to make each other laugh, while enjoying what we’re doing. Joe Gatto
Playing with my daughter, I sat down because I couldn’t chase her anymore and she said, ‘Please, Daddy. I love playing with you’ and I couldn’t catch my breath. I just couldn’t. I was heaving, trying to catch my breath and looking at my adorable little girl with her puppy dog eyes pleading with her father to play. Joe Gatto

Umm, if I could nose anybody… I guess over there it would be Ricky Gervais. He’s a hero of mine. I consider him an idol, I love everything he does. So to be able to place my nose on such a Brit legend, that would be my pick. Joe Gatto
I always enjoy the name game and the two-way mirror challenge. Joe Gatto

I was playing an Ikea employee one time and a guy asked me about an armoire, so I ran through the store and he and his lady started running after me, and we end up inside an armoire – literally. It was a lot of fun, but in the end the guy says, ‘I can’t be on your show. I’m married, and this isn’t my wife.’ Joe Gatto
We even say a lot of the times, we’ll put our own filter on. We’ll rein each other in when somebody’s out there. If we see somebody’s getting mad we’ll change the direction on purpose. Cause that’s not what our show is. It’s not getting people upset. It’s making each other laugh. Joe Gatto
We didn’t like to do the traditional prank show where we felt bad for people having jokes pulled on them. Joe Gatto
I’ve ruined many Thanksgivings! Joe Gatto

I didn’t realize puppy mills were a problem until my wife, Bessy, and I got our first dog, Cannoli. Cannoli came from a puppy mill and she came with many health issues. It was after we got her that we researched and educated ourselves about the conditions dogs face in puppy mills. Joe Gatto
The thing that we like about our show is that it’s our take on a kind of format. It’s a hidden camera comedy show where we don’t even call it a ‘prank show’ because we’re made to fool each other and our friends. Joe Gatto
We’re improv comedians, we’re not necessarily actors, we don’t come across that way. Joe Gatto
When there’s no girls around, there’s humor. Joe Gatto
We’re barely a prank show, in my opinion. We don’t consider it that, we don’t call our stuff pranks. The challenges that we do are more social experiments that put each other in awkward situations. Joe Gatto
We like to produce other shows that don’t have us in it, that’s a big thing. Joe Gatto
We did sketch comedy, performed live improv, and then we made the transition to TV with ‘Impractical Jokers.’ Joe Gatto
Well ‘Impractical Jokers’ isn’t really a prank show, because the joke is on us. We make ourselves look like idiots in front of the public. So the public is mostly confused about what is happening. Joe Gatto

We thought why don’t we just make ourselves the marks of the show. Have our three friends turn the screws on each of us and let the collateral embarrassment be the source of the comedy. Joe Gatto
You know, Sal, for a long time would hate taking elevators with me. Because he knew when those doors closed I was going to do something stupid to embarrass him. So he’d opt to take the stairs a lot. Joe Gatto
When there’s not girls around you have no choice but to mess around with your guy friends, as guys do, so we got into making each other laugh and get each other in trouble and stuff like that at an early age. Joe Gatto

We look around every day on set and pinch ourselves that we’re at work. Joe Gatto
Literally, our show is friendship on display. It’s not a written comedy show. It’s not a reality show. It’s just four friends making each other laugh. And who doesn’t enjoy watching people enjoy their friends? Joe Gatto
